Research projects and collaborations
Our long-term commitment to research and innovation is demonstrated through active participation in national and international research projects. Conducted together with industrial partners, universities, and research institutions, these projects have contributed to the development of new steel grades, production technologies, and metallurgical know-how that support our products today.
Advanced materials for new applications
We participated in the MARTINA research programme, bringing together industrial companies and research institutions to develop advanced materials and manufacturing technologies for demanding industrial applications. The programme strengthened our expertise in steel development, metallurgical processes, and the industrial implementation of innovative material solutions.
Enhanced machinability with improved steel cleanliness
Through the SMHC research project, we developed manufacturing technologies for producing steels with enhanced machinability while significantly improving steel micro-cleanliness. The project focused on optimizing the formation and modification of non-metallic inclusions without changing the chemical composition of the steel, enabling improved machining performance while maintaining demanding mechanical properties.
Advanced microalloying technologies
Through the ČMRLJ research project, we collaborated with leading industrial and research partners to develop new microalloying technologies for cleaner, higher-quality steels. The project focused on controlling non-metallic inclusions, grain refinement, and nano-precipitation through advanced microalloying concepts, enabling improved mechanical properties and manufacturing performance across a wide range of steel grades.
