Welded-chain steel
Welded-chain steels are intended for the production of welded chain components requiring controlled weldability, strength, and toughness after forming and welding operations.
Their chemical composition is designed to provide consistent deformation behavior during bending and forming, together with reliable performance during flash butt or resistance welding processes.
Depending on the grade and subsequent heat treatment condition, the steels can achieve the mechanical properties required for dynamically and statically loaded chain applications.
Typical applications include lifting chains, conveyor chains, transport chains, mining chains, and other industrial chain systems.
