Continuous improvement in metallurgy and production processes is an important part of how we create value for our customers.
At the same time, some opportunities require us to challenge established production routes and rethink what is possible.
This mindset was behind one of our recent development projects, carried out together with Pro Labor d.o.o. We are pleased that this work was recognized with a Gold Award at the Best Innovations of the Celje Region competition and selected to compete at the national level.
The project focused on the development of a production route for 1.2312 tool steel, combining continuous casting and induction heat treatment to achieve the required material properties, high cleanliness, and improved machinability, further strengthening our position in higher value-added steel segments.
Projects like this are the result of close cooperation between development, production, quality, and our external partners, turning technical knowledge into industrial solutions.
